Fire Safety, Insurance, & General Precautions

There is always some level of risk when working with combustible fuels, dynamic movement, and open flames. However, safety is top of mind for this professional performing crew; that's why fourth member ROB from Moncton, NB is such a crucial part of the team.
Rob oversees fuel handling before each show and also takes care of igniting and extinguishing props during the performance. His eyes are on the action at all times - ready to intervene at the first sign of anything unforeseen. Aside from a dedicated safety technician, GEOMATRIX follows a number of standard procedures to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the team and every member of the audience.
Fire performers will never attend a booking alone - even if only one performer is on the roster. A partner (Rob, or one of the other members) will always accompany in order to provide fuel assistance and full-time safety watch, start-to-finish.

When is it Considered UNSAFE to Proceed with a FIRE SHOW? Weather does sometimes prevent a show from going forward. There are certain conditions in which it can be dangerous for the team and / or the audience to perform under. High winds, rain, unsuitable ground or overly damp conditions are some of the things that can cause a last minute cancellation. This is always unfortunate; however every effort is made to prepare an alternative solution if it becomes clear that a performance cannot proceed as planned. GEOMATRIX reserves the right to make any final decision on performing conditions based on their professional assessment of the safety and well-being of all involved. Provisions for inclement weather are included in your performance agreement. |
